A rogue artificial intelligence kidnaps the son of famed basketball player LeBron James, who then has to work with Bugs Bunny to win a basketball game.
In 1998, a young LeBron James is dropped off by his mother for a youth league game. His friend Malik gifts him with a new Game Boy, which he quickly becomes enamored with until his coach persuades him to put more focus his game if he wants to be successful. After LeBron misses a potential game-winning buzzer beater and his coach reiterates his prior advice, LeBron takes his coach’s words to heart and throws away the Game Boy.
Twenty-three years later, after establishing himself as of the greatest NBA stars of all time, LeBron now wishes for both of his sons, Darius and Dom, to follow in his footsteps. His attempts with Darius are progressive, but Dom instead dreams of becoming a video game developer. While LeBron starts showing an interest in Dom’s arcade basketball game, Dom discovers a glitch after performing a specific move which causes his character to be deleted – much to his chagrin.
Later on, LeBron is invited with his family to Warner Bros. Studios to discuss a movie deal; LeBron dismisses the idea while Dom shows an interest in the studio’s software, the Warner 3000, particularly its state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI), Al-G Rhythm. Dom expresses an interest in a future with Warner Bros, leading to a blowup argument with his father when LeBron refuses to let him give up basketball. Al-G, who has become self-aware and desires more recognition from the world, lures the two to the basement server room and traps them in virtual reality.
This movie was absolutely AMAZING at being lame. Movie had good animation and that’s all so I’ll give it that. The acting and lines were just bad. Actually it was horrible. No joke, even the Looney Toons acting was bad. How do you screw that up? Wasn’t even funny. I seriously don’t think I laughed once. The first Jam was WAY better and this was nothing like it. This movie is literally probably good for kids under 5 years old who laugh at anything and wouldn’t notice the horrible acting and hack job they did on the Looney Toons. Not good enough for me to watch it again that’s for sure. We watched for free on HBO Max, It’s definitely not worth paying theater money for.
